Let's move together!
Hello! I am Tara, and I am grateful to be part of your journey.
I grew up in the summer camp world – attending as a camper for many years, and eventually working as a camp counselor for many more. Through experiences at camp, I came to understand significant beliefs about life: learning often happens best through play and connection, positive change is most supported when you are an active participant in the process, and, although failure is inevitable, through failure can come resilience. I believe we are all doing the best we can with what we have. And, perhaps most importantly, I believe everyone needs to be nurtured, cared for, and believed in.
These fundamental beliefs guide my therapeutic approach with clients.
I work with children and adolescents who may be struggling with stress and anxiety, low self-esteem, social difficulties, perfectionism, and grief. I work with adults seeking support and motivation through life transitions, navigating achievement culture, or feeling disconnected from themselves, their purpose, or others. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over ten years of working with children, adults, and families in various environments. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and trained in Ecotherapy; we will have opportunities to incorporate yoga, mindfulness, and nature into sessions. I welcome individuals of all cultural backgrounds and identities.
Through our work together, I hope to support your seasons of healing and your seasons of change – of movement – to help you grow in purpose, resilience, and self-compassion.
I offer indoor, outdoor, and virtual sessions.
